REPORT ON HEALTH TALK CONDUCTED AT TARGETED SCHOOLS ON NOVEMBER 29TH AND 30TH, 2023.

Introduction: This report encapsulates the successful execution of health talks held at several targeted schools on November 29th and 30th, 2023. Despite unforeseen circumstances such as the passing of the Vice Principal of Moremi High School, Offa, and ongoing examinations, the sessions were conducted effectively.

Details of Activities:

Moremi High School, Offa: Upon arrival on November 29th at 9:35 am, Miss Rebecca paid a condolence visit to Moremi High School following the passing of Mr. Bello Olakunle, the Vice Principal. Despite initial challenges, the program was conducted after the principal reconsidered, with a focus on “Menstrual Health for Teenagers.” The session was well-received, prompting a desire for future talks.

Olalomi Comprehensive College, Offa: On the same day, Miss Rebecca and her team visited Olalomi Comprehensive College, receiving appreciation for a cash award previously presented to a student. The health talk for teenage girls was conducted successfully, generating active participation and requests for more sessions.

Okin High School, Offa: The following day, November 30th, saw a visit to Okin High School, where SSS 3 girls, along with other senior students and faculty, engaged in the health talk. The Vice Principal facilitated the session, highlighting its importance for both students and educators.

Iyeru Grammar School, Offa: At Iyeru Grammar School, disruptions due to ongoing examinations were overcome as senior students joined the session post-exams. Despite interruptions, the health talk on “Menstrual Health for Teenagers” saw active participation and requests for future engagements.

  • Olalomi Comprehensive College: 40 girls
  • Iyeru Grammar School: 30 girls
  • Moremi High School: 24 girls
  • Okin High School: 25 girls
