EXCURSION TO ONEINNOVATION HUB AND CASH AWARD PRESENTATION
The Usman Oyetunji Ogungboye Foundation team, represented by Miss Eunice and Miss Rebecca, arrived at Offa Grammar School at 8:42 AM on May 8, 2024. Despite the scheduled time being 9:30 AM, some students from Okin High School were already waiting at the gate. The rest of the participants, along with the driver, arrived later. The driver then transported the students and a teacher in batches to the OneInnovation Hub.
Upon arrival at OneInnovation Hub, the participants were welcomed and directed to the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Building. The program officer, Miss Rebecca, initiated the session by welcoming everyone, introducing the Foundation, and explaining the excursion’s objectives. She then introduced Mr. Olawale Feranmi, the manager of OneInnovation Hub.
Mr. Feranmi expressed his pleasure at hosting the students and teachers from various Offa schools. He appreciated the Foundation for organizing the excursion and explained that ‘ONE’ stands for ‘Offa And Environs,’ indicating the hub’s openness to everyone in Kwara State. He emphasized the opportunities available at the hub, including programs like the Kiddies Coding Klub (KKK) for children aged five and above, which starts in August. He assured that no prior computer knowledge was required as training would start from the basics.

He mentioned that the Foundation, parents, and the community could sponsor students for the subsidized holiday training. The participants then toured the labs and observed the process from design to fabrication using various machines.
The session concluded with a Q&A segment, group photographs, and refreshments. Mr. Feranmi thanked the Foundation and expressed eagerness for future collaborations. The students, who were excited about the experience, were transported back to Offa Grammar School in batches. A total of 19 students (excluding one who was sick) and four teachers attended the excursion.
