Empowering Education: A Day of Recognition and Inspiration in Offa
Introduction
In a heartwarming visit to Offa, our program officer embarked on a mission to recognize and reward excellence in education. The journey took us to Olalomi Comprehensive College, Moremi High School, Iyeru Grammar School, and Okin High School, where moments of inspiration unfolded.
Honoring Academic Excellence
A highlight of the day was the presentation of appreciation letters to these esteemed schools, recognizing their commitment to education. The spotlight, however, shone brightest on Musliyu Mubarak, the exceptional JSS 3 student in Mathematics at Olalomi Comprehensive College. He not only received well-deserved praise but also a significant cash award for his outstanding achievements during the 2022/2023 academic session.
A Ceremony of Recognition
The event commenced at 11:00 am with the ringing of the school bell, bringing students together on the assembly ground. The principal and one of our members addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of hard work and dedication. Our member had the honor of presenting the cash award to Musliyu Mubarak, urging him to continue his academic journey with unwavering commitment.
Capturing Moments of Joy
As pictures were taken to immortalize this special occasion, we invite you to view the photo gallery to witness the joy and pride that filled the air. Interviews with Musliyu Mubarak, his parents, and the vice principal (JSS) added depth to the narrative. Gratitude echoed from their words as they extended heartfelt appreciation to Usman Oyetunji Ogungboye Foundation for spearheading this impactful program and award.

Health Talk on Menstrual Cycle
Beyond academic recognition, our program officer delved into the health realm, gathering information on the number of female students in each school for a crucial health talk. The focus? Menstrual cycles among teenage girls. The numbers gathered were as follows:
- Olalomi Comprehensive College: 40 girls
- Iyeru Grammar School: 30 girls
- Moremi High School: 24 girls
- Okin High School: 25 girls
Conclusion
In this day of celebration and awareness, Offa witnessed the power of education, recognition, and community impact. The ripple effect of this program promises to inspire future generations and foster a culture of academic excellence. A sincere thank you to everyone involved in making this day truly extraordinary.
